I’ve just attended the “Public Square”. To my knowledge there were four Richmond Symphony musicians in attendance: Paul LaFollette, Susanna Klein, Richard Serpa and myself.
Also, from the symphony were David Fisk, Sarah Hatsuko Hicks and Francoise Haskett.
Only Susanna, David and Richard spoke. The Times-Dispatch will be posting a full transcript of the event online. I will link to their transcript as soon as it’s available.

The Times-Dispatch has an article on the formum which quotes both Susanna and Rich, among other speakers:

I didn’t get enough notice to be able to attend (I had a rehearsal with an accompanist in D.C. that I could’ve rescheduled with a bit more than a day’s notice). Where did I miss this? I just got the one email from David Fisk. Was that it?

The Times-Dispatch has posted “Excerpts from participant comments“. This is not quite the full transcript they promised. But it does give a fairly accurate feel for the tone of speaker comments.

I just noticed that the Times-Dispatch has posted the full transcript from the VAPAC Public Square.
