Richmond's crime rate has dropped dramatically in the last two years. I'm sure we are no where near making this list now. Great work, Mayor Wilder!

Sounds familiar. These Exec/directors need to spend less time in bed with board members and support their orchestra members. Certainly the musicians care (if they don't they had better )about the future of the organization. I'm never sure about the agenda of management or board members. They don't have to auditon for their next gig!

This inspection resulted in 32 violations and describes the CCPA as a fire hazzard.

It's disturbing that an arts organization would do something as high-profile and so low-class as what Radio City did, trying to hire the LPO as a scab orchestra. If you tried to pull something cute like that on the teamsters union, well, let's just say you might want to locate a good physical therapist!
And kudos to the LPO for doing the right (and smart) thing!

Brad Armstrong's quote makes absolutely no sense. If the foundation starts fundraising from the usual suspects for legal fees (which you'd assume they would), wouldn't that detract from funds they could use for the project itself?
I believe the symphony has to push hard to get back in the Carpenter Center a LOT sooner than 30 months.
I don't think we should give VAPAF any more opportunity to decide our future for us. This hasn't served us well at all up to this point; there's no reason to think otherwise.
